The Goloka Incense are made with the MASALA INCENSE technique, which is the name used in India to designate certain types of incense. The word “masala” means: pasta; a mixture of different aromatic ingredients, vegetable essences, essential oils, leaves, plant roots, wood dust, flowers and high quality vegetable fibers transformed into paste by the addition of a natural gum or resin and water, which is “rolled” manually and usually on a bamboo wand).

Masala-type incense is usually much superior in quality to charcoal or impregnated wood charcoal incenses, which are industrially made from an unscented charcoal paste, to which perfume is added.

PARIJATHA variety:
It is made with parijatha flowers, providing a sweet and fruity aroma.
It is a special, intense and comforting aroma. In Hindu mythology, parijatha is a heavenly tree, famous for its beauty and for the perfume of its flowers. It was one of the main ornaments of the paradise of the Vedic god Indra, until the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna took it to please one of his loved ones.
